The Eighth Crusade was the last and final attempt by the Christians to capture Jerusalem. The Crusaders invaded the Muslims in this area to take over their Holy Land. Once again, like most other times, the Christians were absolutely annihilated and Muslims again kept Jerusalem under their rule. This Crusade ended the same way that most of the Crusades had: with the Christians getting demolished. The Muslim perspective on this Crusade was not much different from the rest of the Crusades. It played out very similarly to many of the Crusades. However, after almost 300 years, the Muslims were fed up with the Christians attacking and invading them constantly. The Muslims had the mindset of "go for gold" and gave it everything they had in a last ditch effort to send the message that the Christians were not welcome. They felt proud of themselves for finally getting their message across after centuries of fighting. This final victory by the Muslims gave them the security they wanted that they would not have to keep dealing with attacking Christians.
